Context
For a restaurant, the customer journey is almost always the same: a search on Google or Google Maps, a look at the photos and the menu, then the booking. Every point of friction (menu impossible to find, website unreadable on mobile, phone-only booking) costs covers.
La Table du Faubourg, a gourmet restaurant in Strasbourg, needed a showcase website worthy of its cuisine and built for booking.
Goals
- Make people hungry from the first second, with appetising menus and visuals.
- Allow online table booking, at any time.
- Capture local searches on Google Maps.
What we delivered
- Animated, beautifully presented menus, readable on a smartphone.
- Table booking built into the website, one click away.
- An optimised Google Maps listing: information, photos, direct link to booking.
- A fast, elegant website, in keeping with a gourmet restaurant.
Results
The number of tables booked doubled. The project cost €2,800, for a service the market estimates at around €8,000.
« A fast, beautiful, well-ranked website. Our bookings doubled in three months. »
Key takeaways
- For a restaurant, online booking is the heart of the website.
- The Google Maps listing and the website work together: one brings the customer in, the other convinces them.
- An up-to-date menu that reads well on mobile beats any animation, and the two can coexist.
